Founded by the beauty industry’s revolutionary iconic figure, Isis Brantley, the parade and festival was created to celebrate, promote and cultivate the labor of love for Natural Hair. This ground breaking event aims to bring awareness to many of the health, economic and social issues within the Southern community through natural living, community healing, family bonding and cultural enrichment.
This highly interactive event provides the Golden Triangle Area covering the Dallas/Fort Worth/Denton community with a day of fun and recreation for the whole family. This event features live entertainment, workshops, children activities, speakers, poets, and a host of food and product vendors. In addition, “The Irma P. Hall Living Legend Award” will be presented to William “Bill” Blair, a legendary Negro League Baseball player, Trailblazing Publisher and Civil Rights Activist.
